Orientation
Besides the standard orientation, in which all the first-year students participate, a special orientation session is arranged for the international students in order to meet their needs. This is not only a great opportunity for the international students to explore the MCE Campus and its surrounding areas, to meet their classmates, their future teachers and other Faculty staff, but also helps them to understand “how things work” at MediCampus Europeo and in Malta.
During these special sessions, students will gain practical knowledge on, for example, banking hours, public transport, immigration procedures and MCE policies, along with learning about how to make the most of your student life at MCE. Another special session will be focused on a tour of Valletta, so the first-year students get comfortable with living in Valletta as soon as possible and get a look on everything Malta has to offer to enhance their study experience. Our student advisors will be available to help international students settle into their new environment.
Airport pick up
The Malta International Airport is only 10 km from the MCE Campus. You can reach the campus by taxi or shuttle bus.
Taxi service
A 24-hour taxi service operates from Malta International Airport.
Airport shuttle bus service
Airport Shuttle Service operates a bus service between the Malta International Airport and Valletta. There are regular hourly departures from the airport. Schedule, ticket prices, and online reservations can be found at https://www.maltairport.com/passenger/getting-here/bus-service/.
Immigration
A student visa is required for all non-EU applicants as it is the main document legalizing an international student’s presence in Malta. This student will thus need to have an approved entry visa prior to entering Malta. If required, the Office of Admissions can be contacted in order to receive information on the issue of student visas, deadlines and requested documents.
Student support and services
The Student Office at MCE offers a wide array of activities in cooperation with the academic and administrative staff with services such as:
- Individualized counseling for personal career and academic matters provided by designated advisors at Faculty
- Information on student financial aid programs, scholarships and payment plans
- Exposure to social and cultural events
- Mentoring involving Faculty and academic advisors
